Foundation Medicine
Lead Visual Designer
A molecular insights company specializing in genomic testing. I led creative for their corporate website redesign, pushing the brand guidelines toward more accessible colors and clearer navigation while presenting them as the innovators they are.
Corporate website
Foundation Medicine came to Verndale for a redesign of their corporate site: one that stayed on brand, yet gave them a new look and feel as a leader in their industry.
As Lead Visual Designer, I pushed their style guideline with more ADA-compliant colors and friendlier treatments across every navigational component. Subtle shadows, pops of color, and a slider carousel treatment gave the site more dimension with an elevated feel.
Cancer survivor page
First appearing on The Today Show, Karen Peterson—a breast cancer survivor—spoke out about being her own advocate when she was diagnosed with cancer, and how Foundation Medicine’s genomic testing helped inform her treatment plan.
The page serves people who have cancer, or know someone who does, and want to learn how genomic testing can help. I chose an editorial style to highlight Karen’s story as the central focus and an elegant look that keeps the most important information clear and easy to reach.

American Society of Clinical Oncology conference website
A site for Foundation Medicine at the society’s annual meeting, built for everyone invested in genomic testing. Every poster, event, and news section was designed for easy navigation, with a sophisticated look that kept Foundation Medicine's presence as innovators front and center.
